Finally, my friends and me completed the documental about the Air Pollution in El Paso Texas. The teacher told us that "this" was a draft...that makes things a bit harder for us. Anyway, I will be posting the update of the video later on.

Solar Power/Eco Thinking

Today I bought my first Solar Powered electronic! It's a clock that can use Solar Power through some tiny cells.

If you want one you can go to Target and get it for 14.99!

This is the first step into my dream! A solar powered house with a sport electric car. It's always awesome to help the envirment and more important the people that live in it. For example, as I was going to my truck from Target, I meet this girl seeking for money because her truck went out of gas. My friend rapidly said that he only had a credit card, I searched my wallet and gave her 4 bucks. She was really grateful and seeing her smile made feel so good inside.

We really need to start taking into consideration caring for others, if we don't then what was the point of more than 2000 years of human history? To waste our natural sources and just live our lifes the way we always wanted? SUV's, gold, money, sex, pleasure....etc...I know that people want things etc, but is just a "want" which is diferent from a need. When you care for your "wants" people are thinking over and over about their "needs" for example, food, education, clothes, etc...while you are thinking on cars, houses, money, gold, sex, etc...

What will you do to help the planet or others from here in 10 years?

So I found this ocarinas I already knew from the game of Zelda - The Ocarine of Time, BUT I never hear them before.

I bet you saw it before, is impossible not to recognize this ocarinas, but have you ever hear them play in real life? or have you ever seen them in real life? Well, here's a video just to show you how explendid this ocarinas can be.

I think I'm going to consider buying one, I used to play the flute but I never liked the really soft sound they make, an ocarina is a bit more on a higher octave. I play the piano as well, so this might be interesting near the future. :)

Earth Hour - Are you going to vote?

It seems that there's something called the "Earth Hour" which is today at your local time 8:30 PM. All around the world people will just turn off your unnecessary lights for one hour straight and this is going to give the earth a little break. Is not much, but at least we can contribute somehow. Is kind of dumb that I don't really have to do anything because there aren't any unnecessary lights in this house.

The truth is that there's a hole in this "Earth Hour" plan, as you can see the whole idea of doing this is to make the electric generator plants to stop emitting CO2 for a straight hour. The problem is that electric power plants do not store the energy that is produced, which means that the energy is completely wasted and the cause is useless unless the electricity companies agreed to lower the waste of electricity while this event is going on.

"Electricity that is produced is not stored (because there is no practical, cost effective means of doing so). Thus because the electricity that is produced is not stored, Earth hour actually wastes the energy that was produced during the hour rather than saving that energy. Due to this technicality, Earth hour is only really a symbolism of conservation rather than an actual conservation or saving of energy and in real terms, Earth hour does not actually lower emissions. Lowered emissions can only actually be realized if the power generation companies commit to lowering their output during the event."

So what's the main idea? Well, this is a "voting" and it means that you are choosing to help or not the world. The campaign is actually wanting to people to change the way they think about the way the world is polluting. By doing this people will start polluting less and taking more care of the pollution they make for future generations.

Well, finally I have to go back to school tomorrow, I feel really tired and stressed because of the homework they leaved...it didn't even felt like a break. Anyways I think I had fun since I went out with my friends a couple of times :D It was funny and made me forget about loads of stuff that happened hahaha. I also got to level up my character on DOMO (Dream Of Mirror Online) up to 24 Wizard.

Another thing I did was to reach the 2000 pageviews on my deviantart! It's amazing to have people that watch me every time I write or upload anything. I'm really thankful with them, so I created a piece just for them.

Researching the Internets

I have been looking for a good hardware 3D render that will use my GPU instead of my CPU to render 3D. I am trying to use Gelato, if I get it working it will be more easier to make videos on 3D in higher quality. Another issue is that my processor gets up to 80 Celsious when I try to render anything on 3D. That's a bit too much, and I am not going to risk it. That is why I am trying to get a hardware acelerator for 3D. If you know any please tell me!

Be patient for the video. :D

The Program Works!!

Now is working and you have the chance to see one second of the film! :D

Of course is not the finished work, it is just a preview to make sure the program works and is not going to look like that. The video is missing the motion effects and other factors that will make the video look more professional. You can quite see the blurry effects I added on my picture on the top.

I think I am a bit confident now that the program is working correctly :)

Anyways, I am doing a video on 3D now; I really want to learn the dynamics of animations and everything that has to do with it. This programs are high-end 3D modeling, and the rendering on my quad core is a bit slow. 1 second of an HD rendering (1280x720) takes around 30 minutes in my quad core. This means that for every second I create on 3D, I spend 30 minutes minimum on rendering. Now, imagine how much will it take me to actually move around and create the 3D stuff? lol. I want to create at least 30 seconds of video for youtube, please wait about two to three weeks (depending on my homework) and I'll post the video here on my blog. :)

Finally my desktop is working!

After weeks of trying to get to work my computer (without the windows vista discs) I finally got the restores discs from dell!

The Aquarium

Hey guys!

Recently my parents got a huge 50 gallon aquarium and they bought this little two fishes (not exactly the first ones). I decided to create a little video about them with some music I created. Since Youtube does not allow copyrighted music I managed to record my own music for my very own videos. The video was mostly to test the audio and the music, sorry if the video looks really badly done.

I am finally on vacations and I am going to be absent for a week or two

The Engine.

I am not a professional at doing this kind of things, so do not expect much at the end, but if you really like the idea and the project you can always help me, or just keep reading the blog while I do everything day by day (or weeks). Here I will leave a video of another person who created a terrain engine that I would love to use in the game. Specially if I am going to start with some RPG style videogame. This person is creating a flying shooter video game...so I don't really think it matters if I take his idea. I like his idea most likely because it uses really low and standard graphics. For big RPG games like the one I am trying to create, it takes too much graphics, especially when no one wants to wait for the game to re-load each time you go to another level.

I guess I do not have anything else to tell you :) I am ready to start practicing with C#.

The Project

Finally I have a little time for myself and I decided to create a videogame.
Right now I am not sure what is it going to be about. I was thinking a MMORPG or a Racing game. I know nothing about C# (which is the language is the game going to be written) and I am barely starting to edit in 3D, so expect the final game at the end of 2009 or later. Right now I'll leave you with what I have right now which is a piece of grass moving real-time. Enjoy! and stay in tune. :)

Hi all my fellow friends. I have decided to start this blog to share my ideas to all of you. Besides I wanted to get some people to read what I write, I hope I can find it here. I hope you all enjoy reading my blog and following me along too. Let me introduce myself, I am a "wanna be photographer, computer programmer, pro videogamer, web designer, artist, and now a writter" so I am mostly of the time on my computer. I will link everything some day to my website (which I'm working from time to time) From time to time I will get better, right now don't expect much about me.

I was raised in Mexico and then came to the United States around 4 years ago. My parents did all the paperwork when I was not even born. Now I am a freshman at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). I really enjoy my life right now, but I'm not doing good at my classes. Mostly is because I am a bad reader, especially when it comes to hard books because of the lack of words in my language. The point of this blog is to learn, read, and write so that may help with my career.

Everything I have experienced in my life have changed me. So maybe my point of view is rich of values to you. You do not need to experience these things, they may create a monster like me. Anyways from time to time pass by and read my blog, I would appreciate it really much.
